Our client in the paper, chemical, and industrial distribution industry is looking to employ a Sales Representative to join their team based in North End, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha).
The Paper Sales Representative will be responsible for growing paper product sales in the Eastern Cape region through active customer engagement, new business development, and ongoing account management. The role also supports the internal sales division by sourcing leads and channeling opportunities to Internal Sales Agents.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ solid experience in a sales environment
- Grade 12
- Tertiary Education - Advantageous
- Experience with in the paper industry – advantageous
- Strong understanding of sales techniques and processes
- Proven customer relationship management experience
- High integrity and accountability
- Own reliable vehicle and Valid driver’s licence
Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
Grow paper product sales within the Eastern Cape region
Identify and develop new business opportunities
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers
Achieve agreed monthly and regional sales targets
Customer Relationship Management
Build long-term, trust-based customer relationships
Provide professional product knowledge and sales support
Manage customer queries and follow-ups effectively
Reporting and Administration
Maintain daily CRM sales reporting
Submit weekly sales performance reports to Head Office
Track sales activity, pipeline, and target achievement
Internal Collaboration
Source and qualify leads for the internal sales team
Maintain strong working relationships with internal sales and support teams
