Junior Technician​/Wireman, Gqeberha

Overview

We are seeking a Junior Technician / Wireman for a permanent role in the security industry, based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 (technical subjects preferred) with basic understanding of electrical, electronic or cabling principles
• Willing to learn and be physically fit
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Valid drivers preferred and PSIRA registered
• Able to work overtime and shifts when required

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Installation support – assist with installations of CCTV, alarms, electric fencing, gate motors, intercoms & access control; run, terminate, label and test cables; mount equipment; prepare work areas
• Maintenance & fault assistance – replacing devise / cables; cleaning equipment; basic testing; preventative maintenance; observe and learn
• Site preparation & housekeeping – surface preparation; ensure neatness; site cleanliness; assist with stock movement
• Health, Safety & Compliance – follow OHS procedures; use PPE; assist with elevated tasks; report hazards; protect client property
• Job card / operational support – Job card completion; asset labelling; photographing completed works; collect client signatures; provide feedback
• Client interaction & professional conduct – be respectful; follow instructions
• Training / development – participate in training; build technical competence
