Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic

Our client is seeking an Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic to join the Markman, Port Elizabeth team,

· Assist in servicing and repairing diesel engines on trucks and trailers

· Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and brake inspections.

· Assist with engine overhauls, gearbox repairs, clutch replacements, and differential work.

· Conduct fault finding under supervision using diagnostic tools and equipment.

· Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues

· Replace worn or damaged parts including belts, hoses, brake components, and batteries

· Maintain accurate job cards and maintenance records.

· Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards

· Keep work area clean and organized according to company policies.

· Provide breakdown assistance when required.

· Grade 12

· N2/N3 qualification in Diesel Mechanics (advantageous).

· 2–4 years’ experience in a diesel workshop or fleet environment (horse & trailer)

· Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and auto electrical systems.

· Code 14 driver’s license (preferred).
