Industrial Electrician

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join their operations team in Port Elizabeth . This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings. You will ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant codes and standards, and that machinery operates reliably and safely. The ideal candidate is highly competent in industrial electrical work, possesses strong diagnostic skills, and is committed to maintaining a safe working environment, contributing to the efficiency and productivity of the plant.

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, motors, control panels, and power distribution equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to identify potential failures.
• Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to plan and implement electrical system upgrades.

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with relevant trade certification.
• Proven experience working with industrial electrical systems, including high voltage and control systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and safety practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical problems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• A valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours when required.
