RoleSummary
The Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance on company aircraft and supports safe, efficient flight line launch and recovery operations at both home station and deployed sites.
Key Responsibilities- Perform aircraft maintenance in support of operational commitments
- Maintain proficiency on assigned aircraft and assist on additional platforms
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft structures, flight controls, landing gear, electrical systems, and accessories
- Conduct 100‑hour, phase, periodic, and calendar inspections
- Perform preflight, thru‑flight, and post‑flight inspections
- Use AMS and interpret technical manuals and blueprints to resolve complex issues
- Train and support maintenance personnel and manage assigned maintenance programs
- Coordinate detachment requirements and work toward Detachment Lead qualification
- Prioritize workload to meet project and flight schedules
- Support additional tasks as directed by Production Supervisors and Crew Chiefs
- Travel up to 40%, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- 8+ years military aircraft maintenance experience (or equivalent)
- Active A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) Certification
- Prior or current QAR, engine turn, or equivalent advanced maintenance qualification
- Experience inspecting and supervising complex maintenance actions
- Proficient with specialized aircraft tooling and test equipment
- Physically capable of aircraft maintenance duties (Lifting up to 50lbs, Climbing, and Standing)
- Ability to gain a clearance
- Military Experience
- CDI (Collateral Duty Inspector) or 7 Level
Compensation: $42.15/hr to $60/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
