Position: SUPERVISORY ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will lead, coordinate, and participate in the work of a multi-disciplined engineering or scientific groups.
* You will lead a team of engineers and technicians providing subject matter expertise for utilities and critical power and performing research and development on utilities infrastructure and microgrids.
* You will coordinate with other Navy, Marine Corps, and DoD activities to provide technical expertise related to utilities, critical power, and microgrids.
* You will recommend and justify budgets for the division.
* You will manage within annual budgets, control expenditures of funds, evaluate overall accomplishments, and be responsible for financial viability of the division.

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Qualifications This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer(PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 to GS-14 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Performing administrative and supervisory duties;
2) directing the technical work of engineers;
3) managing financial resources for various types of funding (e.g. O&M, Procurement, RDT&E, etc.);
4) interpreting regulations and policies to execute projects or implement programs; and

Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics;
