Position: GENERAL ENGINEER with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will provide scientific and engineering depth and leadership on environmental restoration projects.
* You will provide scientific and engineering consultations as a subject matter expert (SME) in environmental restoration topics.
* You will conduct research studies and demonstrations to test innovative approaches.

* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05-GS-11 or ND-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing expert consulting and advisory services to a command or agency on environmental restoration (ER);
2) Performing ER related innovative technology/methodology testing, evaluation, and optimization projects;
3) Providing sound technical advice drawn from cutting-edge information to improve site characterization, risk evaluation, or remedy selection/performance for protective and cost effective cleanups;
4) Writing environmental reports (e.g., technical reports/memorandums, technical guidance, fact sheets, issue papers) relevant to current projects or programs;
5) Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on project or contracting related issues;
6) Building partnerships with government and industry professionals.
