JSL is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Command-Wide Engineering Support Services (CESS) Program, with the goal of providing quality systems engineering and technical expertise to aggressively improve Warfighter readiness, as well as to improve and modernize the delivery, quality, and cost of products and services.
The candidate will also perform the following tasks:
- Provide engineering and programmatic support to the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) System Engineer (SE), including participation in Technical Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Mission Readiness Reviews (MRRs), Program Management Councils (PMCs), and other program-level working groups; provide direct analytical and program support to MPSF Leadership to address technical and engineering issues impacting Mission Module (MM) sustainment efforts and the transition to Full Operational Capability (FOC).
- Prepare written reports and analyses concerning issues affecting the MPSF's transition to Full Operational Capability (FOC), including engineering assessments, status summaries, and recommendations for resolution of sustainment challenges.
- Support development of life-cycle support processes, distance support tools, and Ready For Use (RFU) certification test requirements; develop and update MPSF infrastructure requirements, maintenance workload and manning analyses, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and MPSF Training Qualification Standards (TQS).
- Develop and maintain content for MPSF/MMRC spaces on the NAVSEA wiki (Atlassian Confluence), Flank speed Teams, and SharePoint Online; perform Wiki Site Administration duties including permissions management, template management, and user training to encourage site adoption.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and coordination from engineering, logistics, and support organizations; develop and maintain the MPSF Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to support program planning and execution tracking.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- Seven (7) years of professional experience in systems engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting LCS Mission Package sustainment, Mission Module (MM) life-cycle support, or related Navy combat system programs
- Familiarity with Technical Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Mission Readiness Reviews (MRRs), and Program Management Council (PMC) processes within a Navy program office environment
- Experience developing or maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools
- Proficiency with Atlassian Confluence wiki administration, Microsoft SharePoint Online, and Flank speed (Microsoft Teams environment)
- Experience authoring SOPs, Training Qualification Standards (TQS), or similar technical documentation in a Navy/DoD environment
- Active Secret clearance
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government- granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
