Position: SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will serve as the first level supervisor of the Combat Systems Capabilities and Limitations Branch (C74) providing technical and administrative management of engineers, technicians, and product support personnel.
* You will provide oversight and direction for In-Service Engineering and fleet support functions, such as distance and on-site support; modernization; systems engineering; cybersecurity; and Test and Evaluation for weapon/combat/missile systems.
* You will oversee tasks dealing with hardware engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, systems Operations and Maintenance, and safety.
* You will provide continuous formal and informal communication to mid and senior-level leaders (up to Flag and Captain level) on technical, programmatic, financial, and administrative efforts required to support products and services.
* You will oversee and mentor all employees in the branch to ensure technical and career development of branch employees Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR . Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership and guidance in performing In-Service Engineering and fleet support functions to include providing distance or on-site engineering support, modernization, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and Test and Evaluation for weapons systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.

The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
