The Worship Pastor at Cascade Fellowship is a pivotal leader who will help shape how their church’s voice is raised to God. This person will lead and steward the musical and worship life of the church, by guiding a team of volunteers, crafting services, and ensuring worship is both heartfelt and theologically grounded. They will join a growing, mission-driven congregation at an exciting moment, as the church expands its influence in the Grand Rapids area.
This role is both creative and pastoral—there’s a need to balance vision and theology with relational shepherding. The right person will inherit a team, a culture, and resources, but also the expectation to bring fresh energy, keep unity, and help the congregation worship more faithfully, more passionately, and more visibly in their everyday lives.
- Humble Leader: Leads with a servant’s heart, submitting to council and pastoral authority while still bringing creativity and initiative. Humility here isn’t weakness—it’s strength that keeps the team unified.
- Relational Shepherd: Invests in volunteers as people, not just players. Builds trust, listens well, and creates an environment where the team feels valued, equipped, and cared for.
- Flexible Planner: Plans services thoroughly and with excellence, but holds those plans loosely to adapt to moments, ministry needs, or last-minute changes.
- Team Builder: Knows how to recruit, train, and empower volunteers across multiple services and venues. Not just filling slots, but developing leaders who own the ministry with joy.
- Worship Architect: Crafts services that are gospel-centered, participatory, and thematically clear. Balances modern accessibility with historic depth, ensuring worship is both engaging and rooted.
