• Valid Michigan Teaching certificate ZA, ZC, ZE, ZG, ZN, ZO (preferred).
• Grade level experience preferred.
• Minimum bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred.
• Highly qualified in endorsement area.
• Meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment.
• Meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements.
• Proficient in technology.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Create and maintain an environment that fosters student achievement and the development of lifelong skills.
• Maximize opportunities for student success by creating positive working relationships with students.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Show confidence in working with new technology and various application packages.
• Be a role model for students regarding life-long learning and professional behavior.
• Work collaboratively and be willing to learn new skills or revamp curriculum.
• Be flexible, resourceful, innovative and manage the design and execution of learning experiences, both formal and informal, responsive to student needs and learning contexts.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development; encourage and monitor progress of individual students.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments; provide appropriate feedback.
• Assist students requiring bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Assume other responsibilities as determined by the supervising administrator.
• Conduct professional conduct and project a good public image of the district in community interactions.
