- Position: Teacher - Physical Education
Hours/Times/Calendar: 6.0 Hours Day / 183 Days
Effective: August 31, 2026
Allocation: 1..1241
Qualifications- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate MA, MB, MC or MX required.
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree – Master’s degree preferred.
- Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area.
- Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment.
- Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements.
- Be proficient in the use of technology.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Create and maintain an environment that fosters student achievement and the development of lifelong skills.
- Maximize opportunities for student success by creating positive working relationships with students.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Show confidence in working with new technology and various application packages.
- Be a role model for students regarding life‑long learning and professional behavior.
- Work collaboratively in the school environment and be always willing to learn new skills or revamp curriculum.
- Be flexible, resourceful, innovative and manage the design and execution of learning experiences that are responsive to student needs.
- Observe and evaluate student performance and development; encourage and monitor progress of individual students.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments and provide appropriate feedback.
- Be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students.
- Assume other responsibilities as determined by supervising administrator.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and project a positive public image of the School District.
