• Valid Michigan Teaching certificate MA, MB, MC or MX required.
• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree – Master’s degree preferred.
• Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area.
• Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment.
• Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements.
• Be proficient in the use of technology.

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Create and maintain an environment that fosters student achievement and the development of lifelong skills.
• Maximize opportunities for student success by creating positive working relationships with students.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Show confidence in working with new technology and various application packages.
• Be a role model for students regarding life‑long learning and professional behavior.
• Work collaboratively in the school environment and be always willing to learn new skills or revamp curriculum.
• Be flexible, resourceful, innovative and manage the design and execution of learning experiences that are responsive to student needs.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and development; encourage and monitor progress of individual students.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments and provide appropriate feedback.
• Be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students.
• Assume other responsibilities as determined by supervising administrator.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and project a positive public image of the School District.
