Sr Process Engineer – FPC Bangor – packaging manufacturer.

We are looking for a Sr. Process Engineer to drive large, complex, and high-visibility projects. The successful candidate is equipment-savvy and can get into the guts of a system, solve complex problems, and design manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
  • Lead and prioritize moderate to large engineering projects impacting manufacturing processes.
  • Partner with engineers, technicians, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Investigate process and equipment failures; implement standardized, long-term corrective actions across facilities.
  • Hands‑on support for equipment assembly, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop SOPs to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Design and execute test plans, analyze data, and implement process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, safety, and service.
  • Mentor engineers and serve as a technical resource for assigned products or product families.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) with 6+ years of experience, or Associate's degree with 12+ years of experience.
  • Proven ability to analyze production equipment, processes, and materials and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong experience with SPC/SQC, 5S, 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Gage R&R, and DOE.
  • Advanced knowledge of thermoforming, injection molding, print, and/or paper manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in engineering principles, process design, and manufacturing systems.
  • Proficient in technical documentation, CAD, and interpretation of drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Product‑focused experience preferred, including Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification and leading product development from concept through launch.
