A nationally respected architecture + engineering practice is expanding its mission-critical engineering group and is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex, high-reliability facilities. This is a tight-knit, highly experienced team within a larger, integrated A/E platform. Engineers here are trusted advisors, not production drafters, and are given real ownership over design decisions and client relationships. Leadership is hands-on, accessible, and deeply technical. The firm is consistently selected for mission-critical, data-driven, and infrastructure-heavy projects where performance, uptime, and accountability matter most.

This position focuses on end-to-end electrical design leadership for large, complex mission-critical projects, from early concept through construction administration. You’ll coordinate directly with clients, lead internal discipline teams, and influence design strategy rather than simply executing tasks handed down to you.

• Leading electrical system design for mission-critical facilities
• Developing power distribution, lighting & controls, and fire alarm systems
• Managing electrical design documentation from schematic design through CA
• Serving as Electrical Discipline Lead on large, complex projects
• Coordinating with other engineering and architectural disciplines
• Performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies (SKM, ETAP, EDSA, or similar)
• Preparing Basis of Design documentation and code research
• Supporting project budgeting, staffing, and man-hour estimates
• Reviewing submittals, RFIs, and responding to client requests promptly
• Mentoring engineers and contributing to technical growth within the team

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 6+ years of experience in the A/E consulting industry
• Strong mission-critical or high-reliability project exposure
• Revit and BIM proficiency
• Deep understanding of electrical systems coordination across disciplines
• Clear communicator who can interface confidently with clients and internal teams

LEED accreditation is a plus, but not required.
