Summaryof Position
Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Assists program management with up‑scope cost estimates.

- Interpret the Bill of Materials from customer models, drawings, and specifications.
- Verify pricing and lead times from approved vendors for all material and purchase items from Bill of Materials, data, prints and quote package (steel, aluminum, Invar, casters, etc.).
- Enter pricing and pertinent information into Quote Central system.
- Utilize CATIA to measure, hide and show details to ensure all material and purchased items are accounted for in each quote.
- Interact with our customers, vendors and internal teams for ongoing clarifications and updates.
- Perform any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications include:
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
- 1‑3 years of experience in estimating or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes, along with raw materials and quality policies.
- Ability to interpret Bill of Materials requirements from customer models, drawings, and specifications.
- Compliance with Export Control requirements; a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required.
- Associate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Management.
- Experience in estimating, engineering, or building aerospace tooling.
- Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance is preferred (not required).
- No
- May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday; primarily local. Some projects may require overnight stays and out‑of‑area travel paid for by the business.
- Typically sits for extended periods at a computer workstation.
- May access and work in the manufacturing plant.
- May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and caustic chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands.
- Must work with safe manufacturing processes and use required safety gear (eyewear, safety shoes).

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for short periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35 lbs; occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
