We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer to support the development and validation of safety concepts and requirements across system, software, and hardware levels. The role involves safety analysis, requirement refinement, and integration support aligned with industry standards such as ISO 26262.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and review of Technical Safety Concepts (TSC) and safety requirements
  • Refine and align requirements with system functional architecture
  • Perform safety analysis to support concept and requirement development
  • Contribute to component-level safety concepts for CoPI subsystems
  • Review and support safety-rated Ethernet switch implementation
    , including assumptions of use and requirement definition
  • Assist in software integration for safety-related components
  • Develop hardware-software interface documentation for safety-critical (white-box) components
  • Perform Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) and recommend mitigation strategies for hardware
  • Support Hardware FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with functional safety processes
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automotive Engineering
  • Experience in functional safety engineering within automotive or embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of ISO 26262
  • Experience with safety analysis techniques (FMEA, DFA, FTA)
  • Knowledge of hardware-software integration in safety-critical systems
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, etc.)
  • Experience in requirements development and management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with safety-rated networking components (e.g., Ethernet switches)
  • Exposure to ADAS, ECU, or vehicle system architecture
  • Familiarity with tools like DOORS, Medini Analyze, or similar safety tools
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
