Salary: $60,392.38 to $90,588.56 (based upon experience)

Days: Monday through Friday with some Saturdays

Duties:

Role:

A Branch Manager understands, communicates, and works to achieve and follow the Credit Union's mission and member promise statements. This person will oversee the efficient and effective operation of the branch by providing personalized advice that attracts, enhances, and retains member relationships.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Represents the branch through community engagement, advocacy in schools, and in its relationships with members.

Advise and coach members on products or services by proactively utilizing your financial counselor certification to assist with their borrowing and savings needs/goals.

Collaborates with HR to recruit and retain talent. Coach and mentor employees through one-on-one conversations and performance management. Ensure that all employees are held accountable for their actions and performance.

Coach employees for success and opportunities for career advancement. Initiate and promote enhancement of knowledge in self and one another.

Provide clear and consistent professional communication throughout the organization.

Monitors and reports branch performance and activities that tie directly to the credit union strategic performance goals and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions while ensuring compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Performance Measurements:

1. Maintain a professional work environment with a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily branch demands.

2. Provide informed, professional and accurate advice-based service and support to all members.

3. Develop and maintain business partner relationships with the community and area schools by coordinating branch participation in community and school activities.

4. Effectively evaluate the efficiency of the branch and develop specific recommendations for improvements to personnel, facilities, products, pricing, policies, and processes.

5. Actively advise members on products and services to achieve or exceed 100% of all established individual, branch, and credit union strategic performance goals.

6. Promote an advice-based culture within the branch by example. Coach and develop employees to identify member financial wellness opportunities utilizing our credit union products and services as well as our fiduciary partners such as CU Trust and AAACU Investment Services, etc.

7. Ensure recovery of all critical branch functions for business contingency within recovery times set by business constraints or disaster recovery plan.

8. Continuously coach and mentor employees on their performance. Give and receive employee feedback at least monthly, completing performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe.

9. Obtain and retain financial certifications as directed by management to adequately serve our member financial needs.

Additional Desired Attributes:

Knowledge and

Skills:

Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills Financial Counselor Certification.
