We are partnering with a growing, multi-site Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company seeking a Director of Finance to lead both operational accounting and financial planning & analysis
. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving financial performance, building scalable processes, and supporting leadership with actionable insights across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting, paired with a forward-looking FP&A mindset, and thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. This role will require you to work in the office 1-2 times per week.
Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy- Partner with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, profitability, and operational efficiency across multiple sites
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Provide actionable insights on revenue, margins, cost structure, and working capital
- Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and consolidation across multiple entities/sites
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Establish and enhance internal controls, processes, and accounting policies
- Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing, product profitability, and operational decisions
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including COGS, inventory, production efficiency, and distribution costs
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to improve financial outcomes
- Lead optimization and utilization of Microsoft Business Central / Microsoft Dynamics
- Drive automation, reporting enhancements, and data integrity initiatives
Support system upgrades, integrations, and reporting capabilities - Manage and mentor a small but growing finance and accounting team
- Build scalable team structure aligned with company growth
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting (CPG, manufacturing, or multi-site environment preferred)
- Proven blend of operational accounting and FP&A experience
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment
- Strong systems experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or Microsoft Dynamics (required)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring teams
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
