Registered Nurse - Home Health - Port Huron

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of patient care provided to an assigned group of patients and indirectly supervises all nursing personnel assigned to that group.
Primary Responsibilities include performing basic patient care procedures/techniques competently, including medication administration, organizing patient care effectively, collecting and evaluating assessment data, developing care plans, and implementing patient and family education from admission to discharge.

  • Perform basic patient care procedures/techniques competently, including the administration of medication. Organize patient care effectively.
  • Perform assessment data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on age, physiologic, psychological and cognitive status of the patient. Complete, review and evaluate the data collected by caregivers.
  • Develop a plan of care that prescribes nursing actions to achieve patient goals. Identify patient/family learning needs and implement appropriate processes from admission to discharge.
Required Qualifications
  • RN licensure
  • BCLS
  • ACLS required for certain units
  • Graduate of an approved school of Nursing
  • One year experience in the relevant clinical specialty
  • Current Michigan driver's license and proof of valid automobile insurance with a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
