THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2026 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER)

At Mission Point Resort—Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort—our Bars & Lounge team plays a key role in delivering warm, memorable hospitality. We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and guest-focused Bartender to craft quality beverages, provide outstanding service, and help create an inviting atmosphere for guests from around the world.

About

The Role

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages with consistency, accuracy, and professionalism. This role includes guest interaction, cocktail preparation, inventory support, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring all alcohol service follows state laws and resort standards.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment where teamwork, communication, and hospitality are essential. Successful bartenders demonstrate excellent guest service skills, efficiency under pressure, and a positive, outgoing attitude.

Qualifications What We’re Looking For
  • Experience:

    1+ years bartending or beverage service experience preferred; resort or high-volume experience a plus
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent
  • Skills:

    Strong cocktail-making knowledge, ability to upsell, and familiarity with POS systems
  • Guest Service:
    Warm, personable, and attentive with the ability to create memorable experiences
  • Professional Traits:
    Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain composure in a busy environment
  • Certifications:

    Must meet state requirements for alcohol service (TIPS or similar certification preferred)
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs., and work in a fast-paced setting
  • Location Requirement:
    Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season
