ITIS – Network Architect Share Contractual Port Huron, MI

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Design, install, configure, and support enterprise network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Administer and maintain computer networks, systems software, applications, hardware, and configurations.
Implement and enforce network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in compliance with governance and security policies.
Execute regular backups and develop/maintain disaster recovery strategies.
Document network designs, issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable network solutions.
Stay current with emerging networking technologies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and performance.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years of proven experience as a Network Architect, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure, hardware, and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
Expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices.
Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
Proficiency with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, AWS Advanced Networking are highly preferred.
