Overview
Slalom Great Lakes is seeking a Michigan-based Client Partner to scale state and local government, education (K-12 and higher education), and nonprofit accounts across the State of Michigan. We are seeking individuals at the Senior Principal or Director level, preferably residing in Detroit, Grand Rapids or Lansing. This role will drive the overall growth of our State and Local Government, Education, and Nonprofit business through a combination of business development, oversight of accounts, delivery of projects, and thought leadership/campaigns.

As a Client Partner in our Public and Social Impact Portfolio, you will serve as a key driver of Public & Social Impact portfolio growth within our Great Lakes market. You will nurture relationships within and across our Public Sector accounts and manage the successful outcomes of ongoing Delivery Programs. Other responsibilities include:
- Managing the profitability / growth of assigned accounts within our Public & Social Impact portfolio (revenue & utilization goals)
- Identifying opportunities for growth/maturation of Slalom offerings and setting the direction for that growth
- Accountability for project quality, including delivery of work, staffing teams and monitoring utilization
- Providing oversight and governance of all sold/managed engagements
- Driving business development efforts with the proper information (creation of SOW, RFP responses), tools and subject matter expertise to sell engagements within the vertical
- Maintaining awareness of industry best practices and understanding how Slalom capabilities interact
- Partnering with clients to influence strategic direction and identify ways Slalom can help them achieve business objectives
- 10+ years of relevant experience working with the public sector industry, either in-house and/or consulting
- The ability to build a sustainable $5M+ public sector-related book of business with a proven ability to achieve/exceed sales targets
- A passion for public sector initiatives and enabling capabilities like technology, organizational effectiveness, strategy, and business advisory services
- Strong relationships with government, education, and nonprofit clients in Michigan
- Experience in building relationships with CXOs and senior business decision makers
- Experience in business operations with an ability to drive insights through data along with budget and project management experience

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary range is $162,000 to $198,000 for Senior Principal and $185,000 to $225,000 for Director.
