Job Summary

As an Audit Senior Manager, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing and directing the execution of audit engagements across our diverse clientele. Your extensive experience in audit and assurance, combined with exceptional leadership skills, will drive the firm's commitment to delivering top-tier client service, maintaining the highest standards of quality, and fostering the professional growth of your team.

Responsibilities
  • Engagement Leadership – Lead and manage a team of audit professionals, ensuring adherence to engagement timelines, budgets, and firm standards.
  • Client Relationship Management – Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for audit engagements, and provide strategic insights to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Audit Planning and Strategy – Collaborate with partners and directors to develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans that align with client objectives, risks, and regulatory requirements, and oversee resource allocation and audit program development.
  • Audit Execution, Review and Technical Expertise – Perform intricate audit procedures and review complex accounting and auditing matters, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial statements and disclosures, and apply deep technical knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and regulations.
  • Team Development and Mentorship – Foster a culture of continuous learning, provide guidance and coaching to managers, seniors, and staff members, enabling their success and development.
  • Quality Control and Assurance – Ensure audit documentation, reports, and conclusions meet the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm policies and regulatory guidelines, and implement best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Business Development – Identify opportunities to expand the firm's client base and service offerings, and contribute to business development activities, including client proposals, presentations, and networking.
  • Risk Management – Assess and manage risks associated with audit engagements, including potential areas of concern, conflicts, and liability, and implement strategies to mitigate and minimize risks.
  • Thought Leadership – Stay current with evolving accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes, share insights and knowledge with the audit team, and contribute to the firm's thought leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • CPA license required; equivalent certifications required for IT audit.
  • Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement.
  • Preferred:
    Experience in a professional service environment such as a CPA firm, financial consulting firm, or similar setting.
Other Requirements
  • Work Environment – Professional office environment with minimal distractions.
  • Physical Demands – Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen; able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Travel – May be frequent and unpredictable, depending on client needs.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities – Will supervise subordinate team members.
  • Other Duties – Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
