Maintenance Technician

• Operation of machinery or equipment required to perform the specified maintenance or repair in a safe and effective manner:
  Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
• Implement and inspect equipment maintenance according to maintenance schedule

• Exceed and exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure and standards
• Ensure written flow charts, work instructions and/or standards for each position responsibility is consistent and accurate. Update, refine and adjust as needed or required
• Actively participates in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Manufacturing Director
• Tasks as assigned to qualification standard

YOUR PROFILE:

• Experienced Maintenance Technician with focus specific to, electrical, instrumentation, PLC with demonstrated experience with hydraulic and pneumatic. A self-starter with a specific skill set in a hands‑on work environment of installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and perform required work; to use all equipment needed to trouble shoot problems with machines dis‑assemble and assemble machines correctly and accurately according to manufacturer guidelines; to understand and effectively execute information, verbal instructions, and written procedures
• Detail oriented and skilled in understanding troubleshooting, process workflow
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
• Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude and approach
