General Laborer

Overview

Total Security Solutions is looking for a qualified individual to join the manufacturing team as a General Laborer. This is a full-time position at our Headquarters in Michigan. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and preparing various elements of custom bullet-resistant barrier components.

• Operate and maintain tools such as saws, drills, impacts, drill presses, chop saws, and other equipment.
• Accurately measure and cut materials using calipers, tape measures, and other precision instruments.
• Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure proper assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Perform mitered angle cuts and ensure precise component assembly.
• Manage inventory control and maintain an organized workspace.
• Assemble components efficiently while adhering to quality standards.

• CNC machining/programming experience, Master
  
  CAM Software experience preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time
• Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems

• Proven experience in a similar role or relevant technical field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience with upcut saw operations.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation and programming.
• Familiarity with aluminum extrusion assembly processes.
• Understanding and application of 5S methodology for workplace organization and efficiency.

• Communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Operate a computer and other office/shop machinery or equipment.

• This job takes place in a manufacturing floor/office environment and routinely uses specialized shop and standard office equipment. Employees are required to wear safety glasses and safety shoes at all times in production areas.
