About the Race: Democrats are at a crossroads. Too many Democratic leaders are sitting on their hands instead of fighting back against attacks on working families and on our fundamental freedoms. Don Ufford is a Ford Engineer, business leader, and a dad who has lived the Michigan Dream. Don went to college with a Pell Grant and student loans, worked his way up at Ford, served in the federal government fighting to bring home manufacturing jobs, and raised a family here in Michigan.

He’s running to expand the Democratic Base, fight back against Trump, and show that Democrats can deliver for working people.

The Opportunity: We’re hiring a Petition Coordinator to lead our campaign’s signature‑gathering program to make the ballot and persuade voters across the district to support Don. You’ll work closely with the Campaign Manager candidate, and will be the primary team leader of a team of volunteers that knock doors, collect petition signatures, make phone calls, and post online to win this race.

• Knock doors, make phone calls, and engage in high‑traffic direct voter contact at events to collect signatures and persuade supporters.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and volunteer leaders to conduct direct voter contact.
• Plan for and use a number of tactics to reach daily and weekly metric goals for voter contact, volunteer engagement, and signature collection.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Campaign Manager.

• Cares deeply about electing Democrats and electing Don to Congress.
• Enjoys meeting everyday people, building relationships, and building teams.

• Salary: $5,000/month, with healthcare covered by the campaign OR a healthcare stipend, and 2 weeks of PTO per year.
• Must be willing to work in person. The Petition Coordinator will work 50 hours per week, including weekend and evening hours, and hours will elevate as the Petition Deadline approaches.
• The Petition Coordinator will have the opportunity to transition into another role with the campaign, such as Field Director or other campaign roles, once the petition deadline has passed.
