AID has immediate needs for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to fill full‑time positions at correctional facilities and state hospitals throughout Michigan. NEW GRADS WELCOME!

This role works inside a correctional facility. The LPN is responsible for providing care and care coordination for inmates who are incarcerated in a correctional facility.

Pay Rate

Up to $46.00 per hour.

Location

One World Trade Center, 285 Fulton St (85th Floor), New York, NY 10007.

Shift

2–12 hour shifts 09:00–21:30 and 2–8 hour shifts 13:00–21:30 per week plus days every 4th weekend 05:30–14:00.

Reporting

The LPN reports to the franchise owner/manager or designee and to client supervisors and managers.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program at the Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse level as required by the contract.

Licensure

Active, current and unencumbered nursing license in the state of practice.

Experience

At least one year of experience.

Credentials
  • Background screening as required by the contract.
  • OIG, SAM, OFAC, and NSO screening.
  • Current health provider CPR from the American Heart Association at the BLS level.
  • Hepatitis B statement or declination (OSHA 29 CFR, (f)(2)).
  • Tuberculosis screening, including an initial baseline TB test prior to placement at the facility. Some facilities may require a 2‑step PPD with one week between tests within the preceding 12 months or within the contract timeframe. The Quantiferon Gold test or T‑spot may be used in lieu of the TB skin test.
  • Drug screening as required by the contract.
  • Additional credentials as designated by contract.
Environmental Working Conditions
  • Correctional setting.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
  • Physical demands: ability to read medical equipment and documents, push carts and medical equipment; physical examination may be required by some states and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complies with Capsule

    AID Services policies and procedures.
  • Complies with client policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and correspondences.
  • Complete nursing assessments.
  • Refer individuals to medical evaluation as needed.
  • Dispense medications and monitor medical compliance.
  • Support the three types of FDA‑approved medications to treat opioid use disorder.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing and utilize an electronic record.
  • Maintain confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Provide patient care in a non‑judgmental, non‑discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
