Position: Travel Emergency Department RN - $2,171 per week

    Job Details

  • Full time 12 hour night shift RN1 position in the Emergency Department at Lake Huron Medical Center.
  • Responsible for delivery of safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provides direct patient care within scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
  • Maintains standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
  • Accountable for care given to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Communicates with physicians about changes in patient condition including diagnostic results and symptomatology.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
  • Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

    Job Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License for Michigan.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • PALS certification required.
  • NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred.
  • COVID vaccination and boosters preferred.
  • BVP (MAB) training required.

    Schedule Information

  • 12 hour night shift.
  • Shift hours: 19:00 - 07:30.

    Unit Specific Information

  • Emergency Department unit.
  • Telemetry care standards maintained.

    Additional Details

  • COVID-19 vaccine: 2 vaccines and booster required or declination completed.
  • MMR:
    Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity.
  • Annual respirator fit test required prior to start.
  • Hepatitis B:
    Record of 3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination accepted.
  • Influenza vaccine or declination required November 1st to March 31st.
  • TB test within one year of start date.
  • Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity.
  • Tdap vaccination required; declinations not accepted at some facilities.
  • Physical/Health statement required annually, must state clear to work.
  • National criminal background check within one year of start date.
  • Prime Core Competencies Exam with minimum score of 80%.
  • Prime Skills Checklist required.
  • Prime Color-blind test annually.
  • Prime Agency Attestation required.
  • Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search required.
  • Prime Form I-9 or agency attestation required.
  • Prime Specialty Exam with minimum score of 80%.
  • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam with minimum score of 80%.
  • Prime Orientation Packet upload required.
  • Prime Education Verification required.
  • Prime Drug Screening within 60 days of start.
  • Prime Resume required at time of offer acceptance.
  • Two references required, including one from a manager or supervisor.
