Michigan, USA (with North America travel)

We are working with a leading international organisation within the advanced manufacturing automation sector
, supporting some of the world’s most recognised electronics and industrial manufacturers.

They are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across North America
, with responsibility for developing new business, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market presence across the region.

This is a high-impact role for a commercially driven individual with a strong background in capital equipment, automation systems, or manufacturing technology sales
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy across the USA and Canada
  • Deliver against revenue, pipeline, and growth targets
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within target manufacturing and industrial sectors
  • Lead complex, solution-based sales cycles with long-term customers
Market & Business Development
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to shape technical solutions for customers
  • Support expansion into new accounts across electronics, automotive, industrial manufacturing, and related sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on automation and production optimisation solutions
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial closing activity
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in B2B sales within automation, manufacturing equipment, or capital machinery
  • Strong track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience selling into manufacturing, electronics, automotive, or industrial environments
  • Comfortable managing long and complex technical sales cycles
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial and analytical ability
  • Willingness to travel across North America as required
