Position: Flex Security Officer - $21/hr

Position and Compensation

Flex Security Officer (Port Huron, MI) –
Pay: $21.00/hr, paid weekly.

Shift Hours

Days and hours can vary depending on operational needs. Typical shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, averaging 8-16 hours a week, on call.

Requirements
  • Must pass a drug screen and have a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of security experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Able to read, understand written instructions, and communicate clearly.
  • Eligible for 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) if working 20 hrs/week and having completed six months of service.
Flex Officer Role

The Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by covering shifts that become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes, ensuring uninterrupted service and protecting staff work-life balance.

Scheduling Expectations
  • Will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on need.
  • Schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week) will vary.
  • Shifts will be offered as they become available.
  • Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; others may require short-notice coverage.
  • Must communicate any unavailability in advance.
  • For short-notice call-ins, expected to work at least 80% of the shifts called. Refusing more than 20% of shifts may negatively impact employment status.
Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
