Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. The Technician will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety training for equipment and tools.

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.; can move up and down ladders and work at heights frequently; can sit or stand for long periods; can work in various temperatures.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report.
• Vocational or technical certification and at least 1 year of experience (or 2 years of total work experience) in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Preferred: 2‑year vocational or technical trade program completion; related trade license; proficiency in office software.
