On The Clock is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in .NET backend development to join team. You’ll specialize in our backend web development while working full-stack across ourVue.jsweb app, .NET MAUI mobile app, and AWS infrastructure. On The Clock is a successful Michigan-based SaaS company serving over 160,000 monthly active users with time tracking, scheduling, and payroll solutions.
On The Clock is investing in engineering excellence, and we're building out a strong internal engineering team. As we scale toward our ambitious long-term goal of reaching 1 million users, we need exceptional software engineers who want to be a part of establishing the technical foundation, culture, and practices for our team.
This isn't just another senior software engineering role. You'll have real technical influence from day one. You'll help shape our architecture, drive technical decisions, establish engineering best practices, and help us modernize and optimize systems that serve thousands of small businesses. You'll work across our full stack (Vue.js, .NET, SQL Server, MAUI, AWS) and contribute to decisions that will define our technical direction for years to come.
We're establishing a culture of engineering excellence, one that values initiative, continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and high standards. You'll work alongside other software engineers who are passionate about their craft, challenge each other to grow, and care deeply about delivering quality software. This is a place where your ideas matter, your growth is prioritized, and your impact is immediate.
You'll get to:
- Be an early member of a newly formed internal engineering team with fresh leadership and vision
- Influence technical strategy and architecture decisions
- Work on meaningful problems that impact 160,000+ users and help small businesses succeed
- Modernize and scale systems toward our ambitious long-term goal of reaching 1 million users
- Grow your skills across the full stack while leveraging your deep specialty
- Experiment with AI coding assistants and emerging tools to boost productivity
- Enjoy work-life balance, flexibility, and a supportive team environment
We’re a small company, building out a new engineering team. You’ll wear multiple hats, work across the stack, and have a broad impact. If you’re looking for narrow specialization (that you might find at a larger company), this won’t be a good fit for you.
If you're a senior engineer who wants ownership, variety, impact, and the chance to help establish engineering excellence, not just maintain what already exists, keep reading.
