Environmental Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the petrochemical industry, is seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join their team. As an Environmental Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Environmental Compliance department supporting regulatory and environmental safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

** What's the Job?*
* + Develop, implement, and maintain environmental sampling, analytical, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with EPA and TCEQ permits.

+ Coordinate and oversee water, wastewater, waste management, and Underground Injection Control (UIC) compliance programs.

+ Prepare permit applications and amendments, serving as the liaison between the facility and regulatory agencies.

+ Conduct audits and environmental surveillance to verify compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits.

+ Provide environmental engineering support for control equipment, systems, and process modifications, ensuring regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.

** What's Needed?*
* + Experience managing water, wastewater, and hazardous waste programs within a petrochemical or refinery setting.

+ Knowledge of chemical reactions and distillation process design for emissions and upset condition demonstrations.

+ Proficiency in chemical engineering mathematics, including mass balances and vapor pressures.

+ Ability to use computer applications and databases for environmental program implementation and modeling.

+ Strong communication skills to coordinate with various departments and regulatory agencies.
