- Perform tank and vessel cleaning which includes cleaning of the interiors of storage tanks to remove products or bottoms using shovels, squeegees, scrapers or other means as required.
- Utilize different types of equipment during the tank cleaning process; may include, but are not limited to PSI washer, wash down hoses, suctions and discharge hoses, pumps and high-pressure washer.
- Must be dependable, willing to work additional hours as required and be team oriented.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.
- Pass a Pulmonary Fit Test and wear proper respirator with no limitations.
– Minimum Education and Experience
- Ability to understand and communicate in the English language.
- Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings.
- Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Valid TWIC Card.
Tools, equipment, machinery used:
Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
Working conditions:
Will be exposed to all weather conditions; work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft; work in confined spaces; work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks; if requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur; work days, nights, and weekends; travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
Physical effort required:
Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel; must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
