Lab Technician

Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Lab Technician based in our Port Lavaca, Texas office. The Lab Technician will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair Instruments
  • Analyze Process Samples
  • Analyze Final Product Prior to shipment
  • QC Analysis for Process
  • Enter data to TQMS as needed
  • Complete paperwork as required
  • Attend Safety and Departmental Training
  • Will abide by the quality policy in regard to ISO 9000 and will abide by the Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements as they pertain to ISO 14001.
  • Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Eight hours of college chemistry; or an associate degree in Chemical
    -Technology (Laboratory), Process Technology; or three years industrial lab experience; or 15 consecutive months Polyolefin/PVC/Polymer Analysis lab experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in Plastic converting processes and testing is preferred.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Rotating schedule (shift work), able to work overtime if needed and be on call
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
