Electrical Engineer – Port Neches, TX

Air Liquide is a global leader in industrial gases and energy solutions, seeking an Electrical Engineer to support high‑voltage electrical maintenance across our facilities. The role reports to the Electrical Engineering Maintenance Manager and focuses on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

• Support and enforce all Air Liquide safety, health, and environmental procedures.
• Provide high‑voltage electrical (HVE) support for planned and unplanned maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Exercise STOP WORK authority whenever safety or operational issues arise.
• Conduct equipment condition walk‑downs at assigned sites.
• Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs on high‑voltage equipment and motors to meet company standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance (PM) of electrical equipment during turnarounds and maintain compliance with PM schedules.
• Document all work within CMMS (Maximo) and review vendor repair, test, and inspection reports.
• Develop detailed scopes for projects and maintenance activities and manage project engineering.
• Mentor and train facility operations and technical staff on electrical system operations.
• Maintain 95%+ compliance in the PM program and 100% compliance for elements important for safety (EIS) PMs.
• Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and vulnerability studies (VS).
• Plan, manage, and execute major electrical maintenance activities, turnarounds, and budgets.
• Promote continuous improvement of PM details and job plans in accordance with procedures.
• Provide feedback to optimize spare‑parts stocking and collaborate with contractors on work quality and cost.
• Drive maintenance incident reviews and recommend improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of support experience in electrical plant maintenance.
• Extensive experience with medium/high‑voltage distribution systems and motors.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot plant electrical maintenance issues, especially motors and switch gear.
• Willingness to travel across the United States and Canada for maintenance activities.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or varying shifts as required.
• Highly organized with strong task‑prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Google applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders.
• Valid employment authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card and a valid passport.
