Manchester Mission Statement:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide Instructional leadership by establishing a common vision and ensuring consistency of program implementation;

The individual selected as the Principal of Manchester Elementary will have successfully demonstrated the ability to:
* Facilitate a weekly collaboration model, using the Dufour model of Professional Learning Communities;
* Promote and model a positive, student-centered building climate;
* Develop, communicate, and model clear expectations;
* Design and implement a school-wide intervention model to support students;
* Be open to new and innovative strategies and solution oriented;
* Be a skilled communicator and foster effective communication among students, staff, parents, and the community;
* Participate in and support professional shared decision making;
* Be current on educational and instructional research;
* Evaluate and nurture certificated and classified staff who are well educated in their areas of expertise;
* Enthusiastically support a broad range of curriculum and teaching models as they relate to a diverse student population;
* Participate in continual professional development.
Professional Qualifications
* Valid Washington State Principal's Certificate;
* Master's degree in educational administration or related field;
* Minimum of five (5) years successful elementary school teaching or support experience preferred;
* Academic background in staff supervision, staff development, and curriculum instruction;
* Leadership experience with special education programs preferred;
* A Doctorate is compensated an additional stipend of $2,500.00
