As a Nursing Assistant Certified
, you will assist in the delivery of nursing and nursing-related care to residents in accordance with current standards of practice.

Responsibilities- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene care, toileting, eating, and monitoring/assistance with meals and nourishments.
- Assist with range of motion exercises, infection control, and observe/report changes in resident condition to licensed personnel.
- Accurately obtain and record vital signs and other resident data.
- Document intake and output records.
- Perform basic nursing procedures as appropriate (e.g., anti-embolism stockings, skin care).
- Dispose of contaminated waste appropriately.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and harmonious environment.
- Clean bedpans, basins, urinals, commodes, beds, nightstands, and over-bed tables.
- And other related duties as assigned.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered; relevant experience is required.
- Valid Washington State license to practice as a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC).
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Active status on the OBRA Registry.
- Ability to:
- Perform data entry.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Provide a positive living environment and follow directions; document and report changes in patient condition and behavior.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English.
- Long-term care experience.
- Pass a DSHS BCCU Background Check prior to beginning and every two years per WDVA Policy 615.000.
- Comply with annual Tuberculosis screening per policy 670.000.
- Wear required PPE and perform job duties with safety standards (respiratory protection as required, etc.).
- Lift up to 60 lbs and reach 36" for stocking and access to supplies; walk, sit, and bend as needed.
- Remain current on OBRA Registry and maintain NAC license; CPR current.
- Regular and reliable attendance; complete required orientation and training; comply with policies and agreements; sign confidentiality.
- Positions requiring travel require a valid unrestricted driver’s license and insurance if using a private vehicle for state business.
