The Finish Production team is currently seeking an individual with metal/wood working experience for our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. The Finish Production team includes material grinders, manufacturing associates, and powder coat painters, working together to build, assemble, and ship products for the commercial landscape construction industry.
About the RoleAs the Finish Production Team Lead, you will be responsible for a team of 5-7 people. You will work under the direction of the Production Manager processing steel and aluminum in our grinding, prep, and powder coat areas. You will also be involved in processing materials for customer production from CAD drawings. You’ll be based in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility and have a hand in accomplishing our #1 goal – a successful project in every way.
WhatYou Will Do
- Lead a team of 5-7 people, to get projects to completion and out the door to customers
- Read and interpret production orders; project plans; blueprints; or other written instructions to perform assigned duties
- Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble products according to production schedule
- Ensure work is flowing through the various departments to ensure on-time delivery
- Grind metal product smooth for powder coat painting
- Inspect the quality of the material before, during, and after the various processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Report defective material and faulty equipment to Production Manager immediately
- Maintain a clean work environment and abide by all plant safety regulations and work rules
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Experience working in metal manufacturing
- Strong track record of driving team excellence and achieving outstanding results.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
- Ability to lift more than 50lbs, jib cranes are available in most workstations
- Understanding of inventory control
- Ability to use power tools and read measuring tape
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation, regular attendance and punctuality are critical

Physical DemandsCandidate must have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, life and carry objects (up to 50lbs), and perform repetitive tasks. Other physical demands may include reaching, bending, stooping, and working in various environmental conditions like temperature variations, dust or noise levels.
