Role Description The Bookkeeper is a full-time, on-site position located in Port St Lucie, FL. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including entering and reconciling daily transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, and updating ledgers. The Bookkeeper will assist with generating financial reports, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Day-to-day tasks include working with accounting software, reviewing documentation for completeness, coordinating with clinical and administrative staff on billing and expense matters, and supporting compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
The role requires consistent attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and effective communication with the broader practice team.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements and support basic Finance tasks.
- Strong Bookkeeping skills, including accurate transaction recording and ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and related digital tools used for medical practice accounting.
- Experience creating and posting Journal Entries (Accounting) and supporting reconciliations.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of medical or healthcare practice operations is beneficial.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and patient-related information appropriately.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
