Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for performing tasks and assignments applying subject knowledge, judgment and initiative over assigned portfolio, projects, systems and assigned team members. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:- Ensure the integrity of accounting information and maintain the general ledger by recording, verifying, and entering transactions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidations.
- Review general ledgers for accuracy and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare, review and post monthly accruals and amortization of prepaid expenses
- Reconcile bank transactions daily and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Review and approve electronic deposit captures.
- Perform tasks such as CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and lease analysis.
- Frequent review of accounts receivable schedules and tracking of delinquent accounts.
- Budget preparation and entry.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies, irregularities, and non-compliance issues, escalating to the Director of Accounting when necessary.
- Work closely with property managers and their teams to maintain accurate tenant ledgers.
- Meet all reporting deadlines consistently.
- Maintain accounting schedules including management fee income, security deposit ledgers, marketing charge allocation, loan amortization, real estate tax, insurance allocation, and other schedules.
- Work closely with corporate Controllers during month end process and during annual review of insurance allocations.
- Analyze and prepare financial reports for executive and commercial teams.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent from four (4) year college or technical school; or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
- Real estate (commercial or residential) experience preferred; joint venture experience preferred.
- Experience with MRI and/or Oracle Software preferred.
- Must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel (knowledge of advanced Excel formulas including nested functions, chart preparation, pivot tables), and Outlook as well as excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and manage high volumes of work.
