Residential Construction Purchasing Agent

A well-established residential home builder is looking to add a Purchasing Agent to their growing team. This is a key role supporting field operations by ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule.

The Purchasing Agent will oversee the procurement of all materials, labor, and services for residential construction projects. This individual will focus on cost control, vendor relationships, contract negotiation, and timely deliveries to support successful project execution.

• Source, bid, and negotiate pricing for materials and subcontractors
• Develop and maintain strong vendor and trade partner relationships
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and pricing agreements
• Track budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure materials are delivered on time to meet build schedules
• Resolve discrepancies, backorders, and invoice issues
• Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations

• 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience (residential construction preferred)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ECI Mark Systems software
• Solid understanding of residential construction materials and processes
