We are currently seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in Heavy Highway construction to join our team.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the coordination of project resources, including subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams, to ensure timely project progression.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project milestones, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly project meetings with site supervisors and engineers to align project goals and address any emerging issues.
  • Collaborate closely with field teams to verify project scope, timeline adjustments, and ensure material and resource availability.

Financial Management

  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, working closely with the project team to manage costs and ensure adherence to financial objectives.
  • Manage change orders and claims by preparing, submitting, and tracking project change orders (PCOs) and contract change order requests (PCCOs) as necessary.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly pay applications and ensure accurate reporting on project expenses and completed work.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Oversee and maintain all project documentation, including RFIs, NOIs, submittals, transmittals, and regulatory reports.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, environmental permits, SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan), and any other relevant documentation requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication with government agencies, clients, and stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve any compliance-related issues.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Provide leadership and support to field engineers, superintendents, and other project team members to encourage professional development and teamwork.
  • Facilitate open communication channels between office staff, field teams, and external parties to ensure a cohesive approach to project management.
  • Conduct weekly toolbox talks, and participate in safety inspections, ensuring a proactive approach to safety on all project sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, with a focus on highways, roads, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in heavy highway and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing government contracts with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental permitting.
  • Proven track record of budget management, cost control, and project scheduling.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
