Role Description

The Sr. Design Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Port St. Lucie, FL. This position leads the architectural design process from concept through construction documents for projects including student housing, multifamily, senior living, and medical office developments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with internal and external design and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.

The Sr. Design Architect will oversee design standards, manage design timelines and deliverables, and collaborate with development, construction, and consulting partners to ensure projects meet aesthetic, functional, and financial objectives. This role also involves mentoring junior team members, participating in client presentations, and supporting site planning and rezoning efforts.

Qualifications
  • Strong Architecture and Architectural Design skills, with experience in multifamily, student housing, senior living, or medical office projects.
  • Proficiency in Design Management, including coordinating multidisciplinary teams and overseeing design deliverables and timelines.
  • Ability to produce and review detailed Construction Drawings, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders, external consultants, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelors or Masters in Architecture) is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with BIM workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience with site planning, entitlement, and rezoning processes is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and solve complex design and coordination challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in student housing, luxury independent, assisted and memory care facilities are a plus.
COMPENSATION

$130-170K, Plus bonus and long-term growth.
