Job Description

Indian River State College is seeking a passionate and dependable Project STAGE Unified Sports Assistant to help bring inclusive athletics to life on campus. In this role, you’ll support Special Olympics Unified Sports® programming within the Unified Champion Schools® framework — intentionally creating opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete, connect, and grow together as teammates and peers.

Working under direct supervision, you’ll assist with practices, games, and events that foster teamwork, shared leadership, and mutual respect. More than supporting logistics, you’ll help cultivate an environment where every participant feels valued, included, and empowered.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to build leadership, communication, and organizational skills while contributing to a student‑centered culture rooted in dignity and belonging. If you’re energized by inclusive recreation, community engagement, and the power of sport to bring people together, this role offers meaningful experience that extends far beyond the field.
