Provide advanced technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics and aircraft electrical systems to ensure defect‑free aircraft delivery and support engineering changes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics and aircraft electrical systems.
  • Perform operational and functional testing to ensure defect‑free aircraft delivery.
  • Install and functionally test avionics/electrical components per engineering specs, drawings, and manuals.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor team members on diagnostics and repair techniques.
  • Repair or replace defective wiring and components using approved methods (splicing, soldering, pinning).
  • Set up and operate test equipment to verify system performance and reliability.
  • Ensure all work meets conformity standards and is fully documented in logs and required paperwork.
  • Support engineering changes and modifications while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Pre‑inspect work to reduce rework and improve efficiency.
  • Enforce FOD, tool control, 5S, and all safety programs.
  • Coordinate across disciplines to meet production schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Support final phase testing and certification, including potential aircraft flight tests.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience in an avionics/electrical field (2 years of accredited aviation electronics schooling may offset experience).
  • Strong experience troubleshooting avionics and aircraft electrical systems required.
  • Business jet avionics troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong working knowledge of avionics systems and, preferably, other aircraft systems (hydraulics, flight controls, landing gear, environmental systems).
  • APU and engine run qualifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to mentor others and lead technical problem‑solving efforts.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to work any shift.
