Position Summary:The Finance Analyst supporting Procurement will serve as the key point of contact for all Procurement related financial activities, ensuring accuracy with direct and indirect sourcing, advising on strategic souring strategies, and transparent reporting. This role is responsible for business partnering with the Procurement Organization, assisting in all strategic sourcing decisions, reviewing spend and any associated variances, assisting with standard costing and leading all forecast and actual cycles.
Key Responsibilities:Business Partner Support & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with Procurement teams to strengthen Indirect and Direct Sourcing Strategy and assist the Procurement Organization with all finance decisions to support the best value capture for Vibrant
- Collaborate with Procurement leaders to evaluate supplier bids, contract proposals, and sourcing scenarios through financial modeling and total cost analysis.
- Partner with Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to analyze raw material, packaging, and ingredient costs, supporting sourcing decisions and cost reduction initiatives
- Partner with Procurement to ensure accurate standard setting for all purchased items across all business units
- Support process improvements to streamline Standard Setting and reporting workflows
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting related to purchasing and material costs.
- Perform detailed month-to-month spend analysis, explaining variances in purchase cost verse standard and analyzing indirect spend by category
- Partner with the Inventory & Operations Finance team to reconcile standard vs. actual purchase costs and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Develop procurement spend analytics, identifying cost‑saving opportunities and monitoring supplier pricing trends across key commodity categories.
- Develop forecast models for key commodity inputs, improving visibility to gross margin impacts and supporting strategic planning decisions
- Partner with Finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives tied to strategic sourcing
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–6 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Prior exposure to cost accounting, inventory accounting, and purchasing support
- Experience with ERP systems (Business Central, SAP, Great Plains/Vicinity, etc.)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; use hands and fingers; talk and/or hear. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
