Job Summary

Responsible for human resources (HR) administrative support at site, including employment, pre-employment process, applicant tracking, workers' compensation reporting, new hire orientation, personnel change notifications and payroll. Supports the Company's quality management programs by providing effective customer service to both internal and external customers. Administrator for employee relations, safety program (depending upon site), and administrative support for HR. Update and maintain employee information within HRIS.

Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assists with recruitment process; may prepare position requisitions, coordinate employment advertising and conduct employment background checks. Maintains applicant flow data for affirmative action (AA)/equal employment opportunity (EEO) purposes.
  • Conducts new hire orientations to ensure all required forms are completed (e.g., W-4, state tax forms, Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) I-9 forms, etc.) and forward or file as needed. Assists employees with preparation and submission of all personnel-related forms on an as needed basis.
  • Maintains all personnel records. Ensures original records are forwarded filed as needed.
  • Verifies payroll information and communicates changes. Maintains accurate record of employees' time, including sick/vacation days and personal holidays.
  • Submits all personnel changes utilizing personnel action forms, including notifications regarding changes in pay rates, job titles and account codes/locations as well as payment of bonuses/incentives and tracking of employees on leaves of absence.
  • May assist with the administration of workers compensation functions to ensure all appropriate forms have been completed, including preparation of injury reports and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) / regulatory logs as well as maintaining records on lost time and modified duty time for injured employees. May also assist with safety functions, such as coordinating drug testing and working with clinics, attending all safety calls and preparing any monthly safety materials, etc.
  • May assist with the administration of such programs as the tuition assistance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP), along with employee relations projects such as company social events and charitable campaigns, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • 1-2 years human resources, business, or related area
  • MS Office certification
