Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation and case management
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and filings
- Manage case files and track deadlines to ensure timely progress
- Provide ongoing support to clients and keep them informed throughout the legal process
- Contribute to a positive, results-driven team atmosphere
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all necessary steps are taken to move cases forward efficiently.
- Client Interaction: Serve as clients' primary point of contact, providing regular updates and answering questions regarding their cases.
- Document Preparation: Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
- Medical Records Management: Obtain, review, and organize medical records and bills. Summarize medical records and other relevant documents for attorney review.
- Litigation Support: Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation, filing motions, and attending court proceedings as needed.
- Research: Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Calendar Management: Maintain and update case calendars, including deadlines for filings, court appearances, and depositions, ensuring all necessary documentation.
- File Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
- Must have previous experience managing personal injury cases before they go to court.
- Should be capable of efficiently handling a large number of cases.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software is required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Should be able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
Compensation:
$48,000 per year
