PURPOSE

The Facilities Specialist supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and administration of the facility to help ensure a safe, clean, functional, and compliant workplace. This position works closely with site leadership, vendors, contractors, and employees to support facility operations, manage facility‑related projects, and maintain a positive workplace environment.

• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify safety concerns, maintenance needs, and operational issues.
• Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers performing work on‑site.
• Perform light maintenance duties, including lamp replacement, minor plumbing repairs, and general facility upkeep.
• Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, workspace reconfigurations, and equipment relocations as needed.
• Support compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), fire and life safety, security, and company policies.
• Create, update, and maintain work orders, maintenance records, and facility documentation.
• Prepare reports, business justifications, and facility‑related communications.
• Monitor contractor activities and track facility‑related expenditures.
• Obtain vendor quotes to support cost‑effective facility operations.
• Assist in evaluating vendor proposals, preparing business justifications, and supporting small facility improvement projects.
• Maintain positive working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and leadership.
• Support emergency response activities and other operational needs as required.
• Safely operate hand and power tools when necessary.
